To infinity and beyond

Let me tell you the story of the biggest of all malls on earth (and probably most of the galaxies). You might have seen some big ones, I know, but let me tell you, you have not seen anything yet. When I heard about it the first time I was foolish enough not to be impressed either, thinking that everyone was exaggerating. Now I know better.

When you get into the Mustafa Centre you think it is a regular shopping mall. The ceilings are rather low and the hallways narrow, so you are not really impressed. Yet.

As you might be able to see (or rather not see) in the picture there is no end to this halway. And, in fact, for a unexpectedly long time, there is not. It might also be important to mentione that this place is always packed. ALWAYS. And not always as in "from Monday to Friday 8am to 8 pm". No. It has opened 24/7. As a matter of fact, all these pictures were taken between 23:00 and midnight. Judge yourselves.

The mall is not only huge, it is constantly expanding. In the picture above you can see some parts of the new market (all very modern). They say there isn't anything that you cannot find in this market. And now I know it must be true. I don't know who manages this mall, but whoever that is he must be the most intelligent person on earth...

They even seem to have a time-machine to buy cereals from the last century:

It's not only the fact that they have EVERYTHING. They have it in huge amounts. What do you say? You want tooth paste? And it has to be Colgate? Well here you have a 2 meter shelf filled with it.

SO now you got your colgate and you walk like... 20m, and what do you find:

Another huge shelf with Colgates. Of course! Who knows, a huge Colgate-lovers convention may visit any moment and you may run out of one shelf. And this does not only happen with this particular tooth-paste brand. It's everything in the store. And of course they did not have only Colgate but every other imaginable brand in the world!

At some point, after you have walked through supermarkets and electronic stores, among sport articles and drugstore products the laws of physics don't apply anymore:

You are lost and you have been walking for over an hour and yet this shop never ends:

Huge jewelery sections...

...clothing (love this pic) and at some point you feel the urge to run out and lock yourself in a white empty room for a couple of hours. It is definitely a unique place and very useful if you are looking for... anything! Without doubt, and adventure disguised as a store.

One last impression. Mustafa's is located in little india so they have predominantely male customers. This picture of the toilet is the best proof I can ever find of the small amount of women there. How many signs can you find that indicate this is a ladie's toilet? Maybe you are able to get them all...

P.S: Sorry for the late post. I am super busy with my applications for the PhD at the moment. If you have some time to spare I would appreciate it if you could cross your fingers for me (yes, I mean you). Thanks!
