My Goodness-...

One of the most famous and popular attractions of Dublin is the world-acclaimed Guinness Brewery and its museum. The latter is really interactive and provides many fun facts (big fan of those, as you may have noticed) not to mention a free Guinness (or a Fanta if, contrary to popular belief, you are still 8 years old...) at the end of the tour with the best views over the city. Follow me!

The museum has several floors that cover different topics and that together form a giant pint in the middle-patio that goes from the bottom of the building all the way to the top. The ground floor explains the process of brewing in a very original and comfortable way. The signs are big, with short statements and the ingredients are lying around in their original form.

The following floors explained the packing...

...and the transport, as well as the machinery behind it:

One thing that I especially liked was this sculpture that is a collaboration between numerous artists who have carved different motives into the wood creating a huge pint of Guinness!

Another section showed the different Guinness advertisements. They are usually very famous, especially in the UK where you can find them in every pub.

They did not only show the signs, but also the TV commercials and how they had evolved over time. I especially appreciated the fact that they decorated the screen showing each decade in the typical style of that time period. Really cute!

Another funny thing they had was this installation where you could become part of the famous Guinness ad of the strong Guinness guy. It was really curious, because even though it looks 2D it was actually a room and you had to stand at a definite position to take the picture so it looked flat.
 ,

A last very important part of the brewery is the Gravity bar it has on top, but since this post is already pretty long and it is getting rather late I'll save you those pics for a future entry. Stay with me!
