Chinatown

So today we went to chinatown to have some drinks after a barbacue-party. The process reminded me a bit of the spanish "tapas" where you eat small plates and walk from bar to bar. In this case we went from food court to food court and ordered some drinks. The food courts were very tipical chinese with the pictures of the food and plastic furniture. As it was quite late they were mostly empty. In my opinion it was the perfect setup for some ninja-fighting scene, just saying...

Here's a picture of what these food courts look like. I did not take the picture (so, thanks to Grace at this point) but it gives a fairly good impression, so I think it's good you see it...

The scenary in chinatown was breathtaking, since they still had the decoration from the lantern festival in the streets. It is a pity that I only had my phone camera, but I hope you will recognize how great that looked!

Again the contrast between the small houses with the lanterns and the huge buildings of the skyline in the background was quite fascinating. Unfortunately in the end we did not go to the karaoke with some of the asian people of the group... that would have been a good round up for the asian-stereotype-day :D
