Jurong Lake Park

This is the park next to my appartment (pretty huge park with a giant lake). The vegetation is amazing and you can find these kind of plants all over town (the killer-rainstorms had to be good for something... :D)

Palms always give me the impression of being on holidays, every park should have them!
Talking about awesome new adquisitions, how about these flowers?:

They are unbeliable. I saw a plastic-version of them in several shops where they sold them as hair ornaments and I was like "Yeah, right, they could not look more like plastic. Guys, you are not even trying..."  . And now they turn out to be EXACTLY the same in real life (unless, of course, some crazy guy bought a ton of the plastic flowers and is running around singapore attaching them to trees...). Chances are hight, though, that they are real, since they are not the only stunning flowers over here:

The chinese tower in the background is part of the chinese garden (it was on some pictures of the lantern festival, too).
And without further ado a few more pictures of other pretty cool plants:

(Yo dawg, I heard you like plants, so I put plants on plants, that grow on plants)

So that's all from Discovery Channel with "Plants from around the world", stay tuned!

  2. Einfach ne Schüssel voller Wasser ins Paket stellen, dann bleibt das subtropische Klima erhalten :)

  3. Totally in love! that white flower is very Polynesian type like the ones people from Bora Bora wear in the hair, haha its cool because you can have the plastic version at home and tell everyone, hey! they are real!
those palm trees are there not for you to think you are on holidays but to protect you from getting wet during storms!
